Rethinking anti-ageing – from cosmetics to biology
Until now, “anti-ageing” has primarily meant cosmetics for many people: short-term effects while a cream has just been applied—sometimes clearly visible, but limited to the surface.
Insights from modern longevity research—including work on NAD⁺ metabolism, sirtuins and substances such as NMN, which also became widely known through Prof. David Sinclair—have shifted the focus. Today, the emphasis is less on concealing signs of ageing and more on the biological processes associated with ageing and regeneration.
Important: Research in this area is still developing. Effects vary from person to person, take time and depend on many factors. If you are mainly looking for quick, visible improvements to your appearance, high-quality cosmetics are often the more direct option. If you would like to explore the subject in greater depth, you will find both scientifically oriented supplements and carefully selected cosmetics in our shop.
