The vial is prepared by an authorised pharmacy only after an order is placed; the standard delivery time is therefore about three weeks. We therefore recommend ordering this product separately, as all items in an order are shipped together, including for environmental reasons.

Minimum shelf life: When stored correctly at 2–8°C and protected from light, all infusion products we distribute remain stable for at least six months from the date of sale without loss of quality .

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is an essential coenzyme found in every cell of the body and plays a central role in energy metabolism and cellular repair mechanisms. NAD+ levels in the body decline with age, which is associated with a range of age-related health problems. NAD+ infusions, where NAD+ is administered directly into the bloodstream, have gained popularity in recent years. The following outlines the current state of scientific research on the benefits and risks of this therapy.

Potential benefits of NAD+ infusions

1. Support for cellular metabolism and energy production
NAD+ plays a central role in energy metabolism, particularly in mitochondrial function ; mitochondriaare the cells’ “powerhouses”. Studies show that increasing NAD+ levels can improve mitochondrial function and promote cell health. (Verdin et al., Cell Metabolism, 2015)

2. Improvement of DNA repair and cellular stress response
NAD+ activates sirtuins and PARPs (poly-ADP-ribose polymerases), enzymes involved in DNA repair and regulation of cell stress. A higher NAD+ level can therefore help reduce cell damage caused by aging and environmental factors. (Imai & Guarente, Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology, 2014)

3. Neurological health

Risks and side effects of NAD+ infusions

1. Insufficient long-term studies
Although NAD+ infusions have shown positive results in pilot studies, comprehensive long-term studies on safety and efficacy in humans are currently lacking.

2. Acute side effects
Some patients have reported symptoms such as nausea, headaches, hot flashes, and dizziness during or after NAD+ infusions. These side effects appear to be dose-dependent. (Bogan & Brenner, Annual Review of Nutrition, 2008)

3. Possible effects on metabolism
An increased NAD+ level could theoretically affect the balance of other metabolic pathways. This could be particularly problematic for people with metabolic disorders such as diabetes or certain cancers.

4. Cost and accessibility
NAD+ infusions are expensive and are not currently included in established clinical guidelines. They may therefore be considered an experimental treatment.

5. Infusion-related risks
As with any intravenous therapy, there is a small risk of infections, thrombosis, or allergic reactions.

Why are infusions so expensive?

Members of our research group use this powder to make infusions for their personal use. For us, this is acceptable because we are relying on our own judgement regarding purity and, in particular, the absence of microbial contamination. However, if you professionally offer NAD infusions, you have a special responsibility towards your patients/customers and therefore require a particularly high level of safety. Legally required, extensive documentation by manufacturers—in this case, a specially authorised pharmacy—is intended to provide this high level of assurance. These infusions are expensive not because the substance is purer or more effective, but because extensive documentation requirements—under which every batch must be fully traceable from NAD productionto the final product—are intended to assure a high level of purity.
